As part of being a travel agent I think it is important to share my personal travel experiences with you the clients. I am candid about what I like or dislike on food, restaurants, accommodations, tours. I have had some tours I loved and others not so much. As a part of my mission I want to share as much information as I can with you. I list my comments as a point of reference for my taste but many have said X was fine with me. I will always book what the client wants. The trips listed below are my most current but certainly not the entire portfolio of trips.
Aqua Class booked on the Celebrity Summit with a following 5 day land tour ending in Anchorage. Notes will be upcoming taking notes on eateries and ports.
This line is focused on younger crowds but did have older couples. Most of the older couples I asked seemed to echo the no children was why they booked. The speciality restaurants were good but the open buffet area lacked quality and selection. It seemed to have more of a grab and go theme. Lots and lots of bars which meant no overcrowding. The pool was more of stand of stand up deal with the young crowds lets just say cozying up. The line does embrace the LGBT community which some servers were in drag, gay couples on display etc. If that is not your thing or bothers you, I would say this line is not for you. I had the XL room which seemed a bit small compared to some other lines balcony rooms. Service was great, ports amazing.
I have visited Charleston many times before as our daughter went to school there. The city is super clean and beautiful. There are no homeless or really bad areas in the historic district. The food in Charleston is absolutely fantastic. We stayed at the Marriott on Lockwood and my comments are the carpets need replacement the rooms were just ok. We upgraded to the concierge area which is a private area for guests to get breakfast, snacks and drinks if desired. I would say probably not that great for the 30.00 per day extra. Tip while checking in I asked the clerk if the upgrade was worth it. He was just great and said, you know what I will upgrade you for a couple of days and you can see for yourself.
Restaurants: Magnolias , Slightly North of Broad, Hank's Seafood Restaurant , Fleet Landing Restaurant, Hyman's Seafood

Really for me this trip got a B- because of the Canada ports. The highlights of this cruise is the Rhode Island Mansion tours. The mansions are unbelievable with stunning works of arts. BRING headphones as none of the mansions supply that. You download the Newport Mansions app and follow along. The trolly system #67 sucks in that due to vast amount of tourists and lack of buses you could wait a very very long time to get to the next mansions. If one came by they were usually full and skipped the stop. Thank goodness they do have plenty of uber rides. Boston was a good historic tour and we enjoyed it. I just used Viator for that. I found the best clam chowder was at the restaurants at the Canada ports. Always ask the locals on food especially the bus drivers and tour operators.
On this one we upgraded to the Suite. Little know fact, if you book a Suite, NOT the mini suite all your laundry cleaning is included. Suites are great if you can afford them. I knew I could not possibly see all I wanted to see so I understand this was a 'taste' of the Mediterranean. It was a great time, good food. If I did Europe again I would definitely combine with a land package as you just cannot see all that is offered in one day. Greece was wonderful the water is breathtaking.
