As part of being a travel agent I think it is important to share my personal travel experiences with you the clients. I am candid about what I like or dislike on food, restaurants, accommodations, tours. I have had some tours I loved and others not so much. As a part of my mission I want to share as much information as I can with you. I will say that because I may have not liked say a particular cruise itinerary that I would persuade you not to do it. I just want you to make the best decisions and if my notes help great. The trips listed below are my most current but certainly not the entire portfolio of trips. I can book on any cruise line, but it is hard for me to recommend what I have not been on. The new one is Virgin coming up with other lines as well to try and recommend.
This is an upcoming cruise on a line I have never traveled on, Virgin Voyages. I had Virgin Voyages recommended by a fellow travel agent that loves them. Rest assured that notes will be taken. This is my opportunity to see if I can recommend this line based on my personal experience. This line does not allow children 18 is the youngest age.
I have visited Charleston many times before as our daughter went to school there. The city is super clean and beautiful. There are no homeless or really bad areas in the historic district. The food in Charleston is absolutely fantastic. We stayed at the Marriott on Lockwood and my comments are the carpets need replacement the rooms were just ok. We upgraded to the concierge area which is a private area for guests to get breakfast, snacks and drinks if desired. I would say probably not that great for the 30.00 per day extra. Tip while checking in I asked the clerk if the upgrade was worth it. He was just great and said, you know what I will upgrade you for a couple of days and you can see for yourself.

Really for me this trip got a B- because of the Canada ports. The highlights of this cruise is the Rhode Island Mansion tours. The mansions are unbelievable with stunning works of arts. BRING headphones as none of the mansions supply that. You download the Newport Mansions app and follow along. The trolly system #67 sucks in that due to vast amount of tourists and lack of buses you could wait a very very long time to get the next mansions. If one came by they were full and skipped the stop. Thank goodness they do have plenty of uber rides. Boston was good historic tour and we enjoyed it. I just used Viator for that. I found the best clam chowder was at the restaurants at the Canada ports. Always ask the locals on food especially the bus drivers and tour operators.
On this one we upgraded to the Suite. Little know fact, if you book a Suite, NOT the mini suite all your laundry cleaning is included. Suites are great if you can afford them. I knew I could not possibly see all I wanted to see so I understand this was a 'taste' of the Mediterranean. It was a great time, good food. If I did Europe again I would definitely combine with a land package as you just cannot see some of these ports in a day. Greece was wonderful the water is breathtaking.
